1) Website Discussion
The committee discussed the tourism committee webpage on the Town of Lexington website. Members
discussed possible improvements, including a warmer background or a color overlay. Some members
felt the look felt very dated, and it could be improved by hiring a photographer to have photos of the
town throughout the year. The committee decided to elevate the conversation to the Town Manager and
Selectmen. Members agreed that it should not have gone to design without approval from the
committee. The discussion included questions for the IT department, such as what are the limits of the
software?
A motion was made to pursue conversations with Town leadership to recommend a different website
strategy including a different look at feel. The motion was made by Trisha Kennealy and seconded by
Jon Himmel, it was approved unanimously.
2) Marketing
Local photographer David Tabling will do portraits and Revolutionary Revelry photos for the Tourism
Committee. Staff discussed a recent partnership with the GBCVB and Brand USA to promote Chinese
videos in China.
3) Revolutionary Revelry
The committee members discussed past Revolutionary Revelry events including Fitness Fridays. The
Chair asked the committee for volunteers to help staff and coordinate future events.
4) Liberty Ride /Battle Green Operations
Staff updated the committee on the operations of both the Liberty Ride and Battle Green programs, both
of which are going very well so far this season.
5) Tourism Committee Operations — Staff update
