Age-Friendly Working Group- November 29, 2023- Minutes
Present-John Zhao, Julie-Ann Shapiro, Ellen Cameron, Sudhir Jain,
Sandra Shaw, and Michelle Kelleher.
John Zhao called the meeting to order
Voted on minutes from October meeting
Senior Resource Guide
Ellen shared am outline/summary pertaining to the layout going
forward gathering information for the SRG.
Ellen with gather names and telephone numbers of businesses/people
that offer snow plowing and /or leaf removal services
Julie and John with gather names and telephone numbers of businesses
or people that do handyman work.
Discussed after the list is gather the intern from Human Services will
call the companies to see if they are accepting new clients. This list will
be placed in the Senior Resource Guide. We discussed whether this
guide should be in a binder, so updating pages in the future will be
easier.
Goal is to have names and numbers ready for next age friendly meeting
in January.
Sudhir will contact Lex at Home and they can email Ellen with any
contact information.
Realtors/Help around town list are also a good resource for contact
information.
Communication
Visiting with our Seniors
John mentioned contacting the LHA representative who meets with
folks at Greely Village to see if we can join at one of their monthly
meetings.
Another option for the future is Brookhaven and Lex at home.
Goal a different location- one per quarter

Age Friendly will take a holiday break and will meet again January 23
at 2:30pm via zoom
