MEETING OF December 21, 1999
The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board held in Room 111,Town Office Building,was called to
order at 4.05 p.m. by Chairman Davies with members Bridge-Denzak,Merrill,Planning Director Bowyer,
and Assistant Planner Garber present.Messrs. Colman and Galaitsis were absent.

Land Use Element:
The Planning Board conducted interviews with three planning consultants who had responded to a Request
for Proposal for consultant services issued by the Board to assist in the preparation of the Land Use Element.
Each Board member and staff had reviewed written proposals submitted by the consultants.
The first consultant was Dodson Associates of Ashfield, Mass.represented by Harry Dodson and Peter
Flinker.
The second consultant was Whiteman and Taintor Associates of Hopkinton,Mass. represented by Frederick
Taintor and Christine Whitman
The third consultant was Bluestone Associates of Cambridge,Mass. as the primary consultant represented
by Barry Bluestone.Associated in this proposal is The Daylor Group of Braintree,Mass. represented by
Mitchell Fischman.
After the interviews were concluded in a poll of those present,Dodson Associates was the first choice of all
Board and staff members.
