HomeMy WebLinkAboutPlanning Board Minutes, 1993-05-03 PLANNING BOARD MEETING OF MAY 3, 1993 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board held in Room G-15, Town Office Building, was called to order at 7 04 p m. by Chairman Williams, with members Canale, Davison, Domnitz, Grant, Assistant Planner Marino and Secretary Tap present. *********************** ARTICLES FOR 1993 TOWN MEETING *********************** 65. Article 30, Locke Village The Board reviewed and revised a draft dated May 3, 1993 of a revised recommendation to Town Meeting On the motion of Mr. Grant, seconded by Mrs Davison, the Board voted 3-2, Mr. Domnitz and Mr. Canale opposed, to recommend that the Town Meeting reconsider Article 30 and approve the revised plan as resubmitted by Woodhaven Realty and that the Planning Board approve the revised report and recommendation 66 Article 38 Marrett Road/Route 2A Resolution TMMA material provided to the Town Meeting claims that the Board of Selectmen and the Planning Board support this plan. Though that is not the case, the Planning Board agreed to listen to the presentations at Town Meeting on this article and, if necessary, to comment that they have not seen the State's construction plans for that area of Route 2A and so do not support them specifically, although they do support the objective of Article 38. ************************ PLANNING DIRECTOR'S REPORT *********************** 67 110 Grove Street Rollout of Sketch plan The Board looked briefly at a plan for a three-lot, single-family subdivision. The two alternatives submitted were reviewed. ***************** ADMINISTRATION OF LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS ************ RECOMMENDATIONS ON APPLICATIONS TO THE BOARD OF APPEALS 68 Applications To Be Heard in May. 1993 Mrs. Davison gave an oral review of the following applications 297 Bedford Street, Nancy Butters, L.I.C.S W. , renewal of special permit to use portion of a residence as an office. The Board will recommend strongly that the house numbers be replaced with much larger numbers so that they are easily readable by the driver of a car on Bedford Street. The Board agreed to make no comment on the following applications 85-A Pleasant Street, Isaac and Lili Silvera, special permit for driveway to serve as common driveway 186 Bedford Street, Eliot Community Human Services, Inc , special permit for a sign. Mrs. Davison abstained from voting as she is a member of the corporate board. Minutes for the Meeting of May 3, 1993 2 PLANS NOT REQUIRING APPROVAL UNDER THE SUBDIVISION CONTROL LAW j 69 Form A/93-1, 960 and 990 Waltham Street, Gardencrest, Inc The Board reviewed a plan for land off Waltham Street, showing that Parcel 5-19 B is not to be considered as a separate building lot and is to be conveyed to become part of Parcel 5-21 On the motion of Mr. Domnitz, seconded byMr Williams, t was voted unani- mously to endorse the plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass ", dated March 11, 1993, certified by Donald J Forand, Professional Land Surveyor, with Form A/93-1, by applicant Gardencrest, Inc. , as it does not require approval under the Subdivision Control Law.
