HomeMy WebLinkAboutPlanning Board minutes 1989-05-03 -1 PLANNING BOARD MINUTES MEETING OF MAY 3, 1989 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held in Room G-15, Town Office Building was called to order by the Chairman, Mrs. Uhrig, with members Klauminzer, Sorensen, Planning Director Bowyer and Assistant Planner Nordby present. Mrs. Wood and Mr. Williams were absent. 129. Review of Minutes: The Board reviewed the minutes for the meeting of February 21, 1989, making corrections. On the motion of Mr. Sorensen, seconded by Mrs. Klauminzer, it was voted 3-0 to approve the minutes as amended. The Board reviewed the minutes for the Executive Session of March 20, 1989. On the motion of Mr. Sorensen, seconded by Mrs. Klauminzer, it was voted 3-0 to approve the minutes as written. **************** ADMINISTRATION OF LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS ********** RECOMMENDATIONS ON APPLICATIONS TO THE BOARD OF APPEALS 130. Hearings Scheduled for May 25: The Planning Board agreed to make no recommendation on the following applications scheduled to be heard by the Board of Appeals on May 25, 1989. j 32 Asbury Street, John J. Brisbois , variance from secondary street setback to add a bay window. 6 South Rindge Avenue, David Bell, variance from side yard setback to add a one-story addition to the living room. 22 Moreland Avenue, John Thorp, variances from front yard and side street setbacks to add a two-car garage with a family room above. 131. 10 Pleasant Street, Wilson Farm, appeal of decision of Building Commis- sioner, discussion: The Board agreed that the issues involved in this appeal seemed to require a legal interpretation of all the complex material on both sides of the case, and that the issues were not planning or policy ones. Mrs. Uhrig commented that the Board of Appeals was not depending on the recommen- dation of the Planning Board for this reason, when making their decision. The Board agreed to table any action on the recommendation. SUBDIVISION OF LAND 132. 167 North Street, Bruno Gallinelli: A presentation of a preliminary plan showing a two lot subdivision off North Street was made for the applicant by Frank DiPietro, BSC - Bedford. They are asking for the standard waivers of a traffic study and fire alarm installation. Both lots will be off a standard cul-de-sac, with either a common drive or two separate driveways. The Board recommended the island inside the turnaround be as large as possible, to Minutes for the Meeting of May 3, 1989 2 r—, reduce paving, and agreed the road should remain private. The Board approved the preliminary plan by unanimous vote, and agreed the applicant could begin work on the definitive subdivision plan. 133. Rollout of Plans or Proposals Recently Submitted: The Board reviewed, prior to review by the staff, the following definitive plans: a. Pheasant Brook II, Robert Cataldo, filed 4/3/89 b.
