HomeMy WebLinkAbout2023-10-30-CEC-minMinutes of the Lexington Capital Expenditures Committee (CEC) Remote-Participation Meeting October 30, 2023 Page 1 of 1 Location and Time: Remote-Participation Meeting; 6:00 P.M Members Present: Charles Lamb, Chair; David Kanter, Vice−Chair & Clerk; Rod Cole; Sandy Beebee; Mike Boudett; and Lisah Rhodes Members Absent: None Others Present: None Documents Presented: • Notice of Public Remote Meeting/Agenda CEC Meeting, Oct 30, 2023 • Latest Draft of the CEC Report to Special Town Meeting 2023-1 • Draft 2023 Minutes of the October 18 & 19 CEC Meetings Call to Order Mr. Lamb called this Remote (Virtual) Meeting, which had been posted as such, to order at 6:04 P.M. As the Committee members and the others joining this meeting had been previously advised of the special conditions of this meeting, he passed on repeating them (i.e., the authority to not require a physical presence of a quorum and other selected terms under the Open Meeting Law had, by legislation on March 29, 2023, Governor Healey signed into law a supplemental budget bill which, among other things, extends the temporary provisions pertaining to the Open Meeting Law to March 31, 2025, pursuant to Chapter 22 of the Acts of 2023”.) Approval of the CEC Report to the Special Town Meeting 2023-1 and Draft Minutes of Two Prior CEC Meetings Mr. Lamb Moved, and it was Seconded, after he entered some final changes to that latest Draft of the CEC Report to Special Town Meeting 2023-1, that the Committee: • Approve that updated Latest Draft of the CEC Report to Special Town Meeting 2023-1, with himself and Mr. Kanter authorized to make any non-substantive changes and then to distribute that as the final Report; and • Approve the draft Minutes for the October 18 & 19, 2023, CEC Meetings. Vote: 6–0 Adjourn At 6:05 P.M., a Motion was Made and Seconded to adjourn. Vote: 6–0 This Minutes was approved by the CEC at this meeting on December 14, 2023.
