Business Meeting Minutes
July 14,2016
Attendees. Jennifer Yaar, Kathy Cunningham, Robin Abrams, Lisa O'Brien

Approvals
• Minutes from 6/2/16 Business Meeting were unanimously approved
Reports of Officers
• New elected officers have been confirmed
• Web site updates
o Need to make sure the new liaisons are updated
o Need to make sure all new officers have the LexSEPTA email addresses.
o Robin Abrams to talk with Joel Abrams about turning off the "ping" service off with Go Daddy
• Robin Abrams and Barbara White to work on budget and tax forms.
• MassPAC form to be filled out and provided to Ellen Sugita for submission
• Team to investigate purchasing directors/officers insurance through the PTA(forms were included in the
packet received from Barbara Bailey) and include in budget as necessary
Other Business
• 2016-2017 Meetings
o All evening meetings to be scheduled from 7 00-8.30 pm, but rooms will be booked from
6 30-9.00 to allow for set up and clean up
o Jenn Yaar to book room via Facilities Managers for LHS and Lexington Community Center
o Robin Abrams to look into possibility of purchasing laptop overhead connectors to ensure we
have supplies ready for presenters (this has been a challenge for some presenters in the past)
o Jenn Yaar to advertise all meetings through the PPC, listservs, LexSEPTA Web site, and
Minuteman where appropriate
o Jenn Yaar to post meetings and meeting minutes with Town Clerk to adhere to Open Meeting
Law regulations.
o Jenn Yaar to send meeting descriptions to Roberta Wanyo for distribution to parents of out-of-
district students as well
o Team to work to get meeting descriptions from presenters 1 month prior to meetings.

• Team discussed the possibility of creating a LexSEPTA team for the November Genesis race.
