Lexington Water and Sewer Abatement Board

Attendance:
Board Members: Loren Wood, Chairperson and Bill Ribich, member. Staff: Rob Addelson, As-
sistant Town Manager for Finance, Ralph Pecora, Water /Sewer Superintendent, and Robin
Fullford and Liz Tucker, Utility Billing.
4:30 pm CaII meeting to order
Loren Wood called the meeting to order at 4:30 pm.
Review for approval Minutes of the Meeting of May 12, 2016 and new format
It was moved by Mr. Ribich, seconded by Mr. Wood and voted unanimously to the approve
Minutes of the Meeting of May 12, 2016 as amended.
Discuss The Board of Selectmen's decision that "Leaked water should be billed at the applicable
MWRA wholesale rates for water and sewer plus a factor for administrative costs ". Board to vote on
adoption of new rates.
Rob Addelson explained that the selectmen asked him to compute MWRA's wholesale rate
and add a factor for administrative costs. Based on staff's calculation of time spent on abate-
ments he added 5 %. It was moved by Mr. Ribich, seconded by Mr. Wood and approved unani-
mously to adopt the Board of Selectmen's decision that, "Leaked water should be billed at the ap-
plicable MWRA wholesale rates for water and sewer plus a factor for administrative costs"

The date of the next meeting of the Water /Sewer Abatement Board is yet to be deter-
mined.

It was moved by Mr. Ribich, seconded by Mr. Wood and approved unanimously to adjourn the
meeting at 6:00 pm.
