PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
MEETING OF MARCH 30, 2016
A meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held at the Lexington High School, Room 148 was
called to order 6:05 p.m. by Chair Nancy Corcoran-Ronchetti, with members Charles Hornig, Tim
Dunn, Richard Canale, and Ginna Johnson and planning staff Aaron Henry, David Fields, and Lori
Kaufman present.
********************** STAFF REPORTS **********************
The April 4 joint meeting with the Board of Selectmen (BOS) meeting has been rescheduled to
April 6 to discuss Article 43, Banks and Real Estate Service uses in the CB District and Article 42,
Two-Family Houses, which the BOS have taken a position against. There is some updated material
on Brookhaven on the table for the Board to review and will be discussed April 11.
***** UPCOMING MEETINGS & ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE *****
Mr. Henry heard back from Jerry Michelson and was told it was fine to proceed with the draft
agreed upon at the March 28 meeting for Article 43. On April 4, the Board will discuss the draft
MOU for Brookhaven and Article 42.
************ DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION ************

The application for the following items will be scheduled on April 20 once the completed
applications are in:

OWER OAD STREET DETERMINATION
The road appears to be in good shape and staff recommendations are ready. This appears to be
simple and notification will be sent to abutters.
On a motion duly made and seconded, it was voted, 5-0, to authorize the Planning Director to
determine the amount and type of surety to accept.

IDGE OAD STREET DETERMINATION
The applicant is going to file to convert a non-buildable lot to a buildable lot.

This will be a possible street determination or subdivision. The lot has been cleared already.

Staff will follow up with applicant to confirm they want to proceed since the application fee has
not been received.

The Board will start deliberations and a draft decision will be made available. May 4 and 18 are
the next meetings. Staff will reprint Article 43, amendments and Board Members should provide
comments to staff regarding the report.
******* 2016 ANNUAL TOWN MEETING –PREPARATIONS *******
Article 43 will be printed for April 11.
Article 42, 44, and 45 will be printed for April 25 as one report.
********************* BOARD REPORTS *********************
Mr. Canale met with members of the Bike Committee, the consultant from the Toole Design Group
and Department of Public Works regarding Article 8i Wayfinding signs. The designs were
discussed and there was some consensus but more work needs to be done.
Staff is working to get information on old Planned Unit Developments (PUD) done by the Zoning
Board of Appeals (ZBA).

On a motion duly made and seconded, it was voted, 5-0, to adjourn at 6:45p.m.
