Staff Members: Charlotte Rodgers, Kelly Axtell, Sheila Butts
Our president Nancy Adler called the meeting to order at 2:36 PM
Public Comments: Folks in wheel chairs are having difficulty exiting from cars trying to get into the building due to
sidewalk objects, Questions were asked about scheduling of programs and who is in charge of exhibits to be mounted
on the wafls,
March 2016 meeting minutes: unanimously accepted
Staff updates: Sheila Butts explained about the exhibits and displays and that the community. center must work with
the Arts Couricil and can only make suggestions. Charlotte also expiained that the COA has no power ot choices A town
wide committee will be looking into this subject.
CharlotteRogers: reportecl that newsletters to he rnailed out direty from the printer Additional hearing devices have
been ordered and received, we now have 50+ aids available for those folks who have hearing difficulty, She also
acknowledged and welcomed Michele Kelleher as a new part time assistant to the human services staff
Kel]yAxitell: She cornrnented on various prograrns, the wirie tasting was a huge siccess among others. There wiU now
he two trips per month. She also explained the steps of information needed by the dietician for sign up with her
proQram,
Mealsite Discussion: Charlotte did a quick overview of our present meal program. She passed out various information
sheets, She also oxplained that Minute Man Senior Servicing handles our meal program with food preparation done by
Brookhaven, At the present time we are feeding seniors on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and are at capacity most

being considered, Charlotte wiU be meeting with Minute Man Senior Services. Nancy suggested a sub cornrnittee to be
formed to continue the ongoing discussions about meals and the servicing of such,

Nominating. Comroittee aliei Ella Cameron made, a brief comment that a slate of officers to be voted on will be
presented to the June board meeting,
Carniile Goodwin reported that the Lexington Housing Authority directOr had a meeting with residents
