HomeMy WebLinkAbout2023-07-13-CPC-min 1 Minutes of the Community Preservation Committee Thursday, July 13, 2023 Remote Zoom Meeting Meeting ID: 376 472 3519 4:00 PM Committee Members Present: Marilyn Fenollosa (Chair); Kevin Beuttell; Bob Creech; Lisa O’Brien; Bob Pressman, Mark Sandeen; Melinda Walker. Other Attendees: Carolyn Kosnoff; Assistant Town Manager for Finance Ms. Fenollosa called the public meeting to order at 4:04 PM, and at 4:07 PM, upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was voted by roll call (7-0) to go into Executive Session under Exemption 6 to consider the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property and to reconvene in Open Session; the Chair declaring that an Open Meeting might have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the Town. At 4:38 PM, after a motion duly made and seconded, the CPC voted by roll call vote (7-0) to exit Executive Session and return to Open Session to attend to the remaining agenda items. Under Member Concerns, Ms. Walker read a statement addressing institutional roadblocks which are preventing affordable housing proposals from being brought forward to the CPC. (See attached statement). Mr. Sandeen moved that with Ms. Walker’s permission, and after editing, the statement be forward to the Select Board as a statement of the CPC’s position to be considered at and inform their goal setting sessions. After a motion duly made and seconded, it was voted by roll call vote (7-0) to adopt Mr. Sandeen’s motion. There being no further business before the CPC, after a motion duly made and seconded, it was voted by roll call vote (7-0) to adjourn the meeting at 5:48 PM.
