Marquis,Sandy Podgorski,Ashley Rooney,Geetha Padaki,Sue Stering. Absent:Steve
Cole, Mary Hutton,Sondra Lucente. Quorum:6.
Subcommittee Members(15): Yifang Gong,Hong Xie. Absent Sudha ale ren, Debby
Harter,Julie Miller, Kristen Pulkkinen. Honorary Member:Bob Tracy. Welcome new
members-Bonnie Karshbaurn and Parn Winters. 7 vacancies.
Guests. None. (Former Veterans Services Director Gina Rada has not yet been replaced.)
715 PM: Meeting called to order by Chair Geetha.
7:17 PM: Minutes for May 17, 2023, approved,subject to several corrections.
Budget I Lorain: No change;an on-going process.
Memorial Day Planning/Linda&Glen:
Revised timeline of events handout was discussed at length.
Gresh will be at Emery Park et am (oversee setup)and 10:30 am when the actual
ceremony takes place- It will last about 25 minutes.
Both Linda and Glen updated their respective task lists. Every member has a task.
Patriots' Day 250th Celebration(Saturday, April 19,2025)
Due to the running of the Boston Marathon on Monday,April 21,2025,the high concern
for security and the presence of senior political visitors,towns are being asked to re-
schedule it Patriots' Day celebrations to Saturday and not coincide with the Monday
event. A committee has been addressing this issue for any months. Gee and Cerise
are our representatives.
Concord has allegedly already sent out invitations for their events.
We will discuss the matter at our final meeting on June 14.
Send your thoughts about this to Cerise as soon as you can!
Bonnie-Karshbaum and Pam Winters have been approved by the Select Board and
appointed to TCC as Subcommittee Members. Welcome!
Lessons Learned atPatriots'Day/Ashley: We will also continue to discuss this at our last
meeting in June.
