Minutes for December 3, 2015
Committee members present David Williams, Lynne Wilson, Brian Kelley, Joanne
Shorter, Bob Pressman and Doug Lucente
The meeting opened at 7.35pm in the 2nd floor meeting room of the Town Office
Building
Committee members reviewed and approved the minutes from November 5, 2015
The Nell Walker sign is almost ready, and we will install it either via Brian Kelley's crew
or by Tim the handyman
Granite Forest - Bob Pressman who also serves on the Community Preservation
Committee (CPC) said questions were raised on the committee regarding our CPC
application for funding but that a straw vote indicated unanimous support. David
Cantour who serves as liaison from Capital Expenditures had reservations
David Williams showed us sketches of Tower Park and mentioned that the CPC
considered combining our application for CPC funds with Tower Park's but the
committee did not think that it would work.
David asked Wesley to refine the Granite Forest plan, which is roughly 60`x60' and it
was decided that we would start prepping for the 2016 Annual Town Meeting
presentation
Miles has planted a few thousand bulbs and Pat's Meadow has been mowed
David would like to talk with a development officer that he knows to contract with us to
help identify grant money to support the granite forest project. The committee agreed
that this would be a good idea.
Next meetings were scheduled for February 4, 2016 and March 23, 2016
