Approvals
• Minutes from 1/14/16 Business Meeting were unanimously approved.
Reports of Officers
Treasurer Report
• As of December 31, 2015 balance was $3163.42
• Outstanding expense— copies from December Basic Rights presentation.
Membership Chair Report
• 91 members reported
Meetings— Review /Upcoming
• March 3— Occupational Therapy /Speech and Language Therapy Panel with focus on home strategies.
• April 7 —Val Viscosi with emphasis on 504s and counseling services.
• May 5— Neuropsych testing with Janine Stasior
• June -- elections
Lexington SEPTA By -Laws Update
• By -laws have been updated and will be posted for review at www.lexsepac.org and voted on by
members in March meeting.
Other Business
• LHS issues —how to handle suspensions of students in the new ILP programs. Would it be possible to
bring back NECC to do additional training of LHS staff? Ann and Robin to meet with Sherry Coughlin in
February meeting with Ellen Sugita.
• Ann and Mona to meet with 8th grade parents to understand list of concerns about transition to high
school programs.
• Co- presidents are needed for SEPAC and SEPTA to move forward. Team involved in active recruiting
efforts.
• Jennifer Yaar to follow up with Coleen McAdams on hosting additional monthly coffees.
• Jennifer Yaar to check on Web site postings when posting advertisement of meetings in other mediums.
• Bronte Abraham to provide an update on inclusion panel idea (with focus on extracurricular activities) in
future meeting.
• Donation to SEPTA are tax - deductible. Team discussed idea of posting this info on listsery so that
members are aware. Team also discussed if /how receipts could be sent out to members next year.
