Membership Chair Report • 11 new members reported Meetings— Review /Upcoming • Transition Assessment Workshop with Mike Law completed on December 17. May hold another meeting in coordination with LABBB lawyer. • March 3— Occupational Therapy /Speech and Language Therapy Panel. Lexington SEPTA By -Laws Update • By -laws have been updated and will be posted for review at www.lexsepac.org and voted on by members in March meeting. Other Business • Team discussed idea of having Kitchen Safety videos provided to parents to increase consistency of instruction at home and in school. • Parents continue to raise issues about the ILP programs at LHS. It is unclear what discussions have been had with Laura Lasa about diploma requirements for students with modified curriculum and instruction. • School Committee recently reported that 1/3 of budget increase is devoted to special education costs — attendees wanted to know how much of these costs are ultimately refunded by circuit breaker funding. • Coleen McAdams will host the first monthly Parent Networking Coffee at her home on January 19. • December 7 Business Meeting minutes unanimously approved.
