To any of the Constables of the Town of Lexington Greetings: In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Lexington who are qualified to vote in Elections to vote at: PRECINCT ONE, HARRINGTON SCHOOL, PRECINCT TWO, BOWMAN SCHOOL, PRECINCT THREE, JONAS CLARKE MIDDLE SCHOOL, PRECINCT FOUR, BRIDGE SCHOOL, PRECINCT FIVE, FISKE SCHOOL, PRECINCT SIX, WILLIAM DIAMOND MIDDLE SCHOOL, PRECINCT SEVEN, ESTABROOK SCHOOL, PRECINCT EIGHT, FIRE HEADQUARTERS BUILDING; PRECINCT NINE, MARIA HASTINGS SCHOOL, on TUESDAY, THE SECOND DAY OF NOVEMBER,2004 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the following purpose: To cast their votes in the State Election for the candidates for the following offices: ELECTORS OF PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT STATEWIDE REPRESENTATIVE IN CONGRESS. 7th Congressional District COUNCILLOR 3" District (Precincts 3,8, 9) COUNCILLOR .6th District(Precincts 1,2,4,5,6,7) SENATOR IN GENERAL COURT 3' Middlesex District(Precincts 3, 8, 9) SENATOR IN GENERAL COURT 4`h Middlesex District(Precincts 1,2,4,5,6,7) REPRESENTATIVE IN GENERAL COURT . 9`h Middlesex District(Precincts 2,3, 4) REPRESENTATIVE IN GENERAL COURT 15`h Middlesex District (Precincts 1,5,6,7,8,9) SHERIFF Middlesex County OUESTIONS Surrender Newborn Immunity Question #1 — (9' & 15'"Middlesex District—Precincts 1-9) This question is not binding. Shall the state representative from this district be instructed to vote in favor of legislation to allow a woman, or someone acting on her behalf, to surrender a newborn who is seven days old or younger, and who has not been physically abused, to a worker at a hospital, a safety officer at a 24-hour police or fire station, or an emergency medical responder at an agreed-upon location following a 911 call? Under the legislation, the woman and her representative would be immune from prosecution, remain anonymous if desired, not be obligated to give any identifying information, and be asked only to receive an optional medical history form to complete and return. The legislation would not contain any termination date or any state funding requirement. USA Patriot Act Question #2— (15 Middlesex District-Precincts 1,5-9) This question is not binding. Shall the state representative from this district be instructed to vote in favor of: (1) a resolution asserting that the campaign against terrorism should not be waged at the expense of constitutionally protected civil rights and liberties of Massachusetts residents; (2) legislation barring the use of state resources or institutions to carry out actions that violate constitutional rights, or actions such as racial and religious profiling, conducting secret investigations without reasonable grounds, and maintaining files on individuals and organizations without reasonable suspicion of criminal conduct; and (3) a resolution urging the Massachusetts Congressional delegation to vote to repeal provisions in the federal USA Patriot Act and other laws that infringe on civil rights and liberties and to oppose any future legislation that infringes on civil rights and liberties? Redistricting Question #2 - (9th Middlesex District - Precincts 2-4) Question #3 — (/5th Middlesex District Precincts 1,5-9) This question is not binding. Shall the state representative from this district be instructed to vote in favor of a constitutional amendment that would remove the authority to create congressional and legislative districts from the state Legislature and instead place that responsibility in the hands of an independent commission, subject to strict guidelines for public participation, nonpartisanship, retaining the integrity of existing communities and respecting the voting rights of minorities?
