COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS. MIDDLESEX, SS .
To either of the Oonetablee of the town of Lexington in said
County, Greeting:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Maseacnusetts , you
are directed to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Lexing-
ton; qualified to vote in elections and in town affairs to
meet in the Town Hall in said Lexington, on
MONDAY, THE SEVENTH DAY OF MAY, A. D. , 1923 ,
at seven-thirty P . M. , then and there to act on the following
article® :
Art. 1. To see if the Town will ( 1) appropriate and assess the
sum of Five Thousand Dollars or any other sum to settle in full
the two 1ietitions for assessment of damages, one of the Break=
Robinson Nursery Company vs Inhabitants of Lexington, and the
other of James P . Munroe and Sumner." Robinson, Trustees under the
will of James S. Munroe , late of Lexington, deceased, vs Inhabit-
ants of Lexington, both now pending in the Superior Court for
Middlesex County, and any and all claims against the town of
the parties petitioner for damages by reason of the taking of
land, the construction of a sewer , or otherwise in any particular;
( 2) authorize a compromise or settlement of the said petitions
and claims and appropriate and assess money therefor; ( 3) appro-
priate and assess any further sums for services and espenses in
connection with the defence of the litigation arising out of the
said petitions; and (4) act in any manner in relation to the
subject matter of the said petitions, claims , and litigation.

Hereof, fail not , and make due return of this
Warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, on
or before the time of said meeting.
Given under our hands , at Lexington, this twenty
fourth day of April, A. D. , 1923 ,-
