COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS MIDDLESEX, SS .
To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington, in said
County, Greeting:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts , you are directed
to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Lexington, qualified to
vote in elections and in town affairs to meet in the Town Hall in
said Lexington, on
MONDAY, THE 'TWENTY-FIFTH DAY OF APRIL , A. D„ 1921 ,
at seven-thirty F . M. , then and there to act on the following
articles ,
Art . 1. To receive the report of any Board of Town Officers or
of any Committee of the town for action thereon, and to appoint
other Committees .
Art . 2 . To see if the Town rill make further appropriation of
money for the Suppression of Insects , or act in any manner relating
thereto .
Art. 3 . To see if the Town will make a further appropriation for
the Soldiers' Relief Account, or act in any manner relating thereto.
Art. 4. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for Interest
on Debt , or act in any manner relating thereto .
Art. 5 . To see if the Town will make an appropriation to light
the clock at the Pollen Church, or act in any manner relating thereto.
art. 6 . To see if the Town will appropriate $800 for the use of
the Police Department, or act in any manner relating thereto .
Art: 7. To see if the gown will -rescind the vote passed at the.
adjourned Town Meeting held March 28., 19.21 whereby it was voted:-
"That the Board of water and Sewer -Commissioners be instructed to
lay tater mains in Carville Ate . and Butler Ave . , and that four
-thousand dollars -($40001 be appreDriated -and assessed therefor, and
that the usual 10% guarantee shall not be required of the owners of
land .abutting on said streets.'"
Art. 8 . To see if the .Towa will vote to install tater maine on
Carviile Avenue fro Oak Street to- Butler Avenue® a distance of about
nine hundred feet, on Butler Avenue from Carviile Avenue to Baker
Avenue , a distance of about sig hundred and sixty feet, and to pro-
vide money for the same by the issuance ,of -Bonds, Notes or direct
appropriations , or to take any other action relative thereto.
Att. 9 . To See if the town will vote to appropriate -and to raise
by issuance ; f bonds-, notes- or_ otherwise a sum of money for the
macadamizing, ,widening or constructing of Streets in the town-, and
to authorize the treasurer, with the approval of the se-lectnien, to
borrow anyor all of said ; or to take any action relative
thereto,
Art.10. To bee if the town will authorize and instruct the Selectmen
to petition the- General Court of the Commonwealth for authority to
Morrow $50,000 outside the legal debt limit of the town for street
construction and improvements-, or to. take any other action relative
thereto .
