To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington, Greeting
In the name of the Commonwealth you are herebxr required to
notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Lexington
who are qualified to vote in Elections to meet in the
Town Hall, in said Lexington on
TUESDAY, THE SEVENTH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1916 ,
at six o' clock A. M. , to cast their ballots for the following officers •
presidential Electors; Governor, Lieutenant Governor ; Secretary;
Treasurer , Auditor , Attorney General ; Senator in Congress , Repre-
sentative in Congress ; Councillor ; Senator , Representative in
General Court; County Commissioner; Associate County Commissioners ;
District Attorney; Clerk of Courts ; Register of Deeds and Register
of Probate and Insolvency.
Also to bring in their votes on the following questions : -
1 . Acceptance of Chap . 98 , General Acts of 1916 , entitled "An
Act to ascertain and carry out the will of the people relative to
the calling and holding of a constitutional convention."
2 . Acceptance of Chap . 104 , General Acts of 1916, entitled "An
Act to make the first day of January, known as New Year' s Day, a
legal holiday."
3 . Acceptance of Chap . 179 . General Acts of 1916 , entitled "An
Act to prevent the voters of one political party from voting in the
primaries of another political party."
The polls will be opened immediately after the organization of
the meeting and will remain open until four o' clock P . M. , and as
much longer as the meeting may direct, but not later than the hour
prescribed by law.
Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant with
your doings thereon to the Town Clerk, on or before the time of said
meeting.
Given under our hands at Lexington this twentieth day of
October. A. D. 1916 .
