Treasurer’s Report- Omar - Cash situation - Money ~ $21K is the Balance. Filed Tax Returns for last year and previous years. 2. Safety Sign update- Sep 30 meeting at DPW with Ross, Mike, Peggy and Town folks - Decisions made on recommendations. Next meeting Oct 21/early Oct 24 week. Discussed Key messages on the sign, agreed with Manufacturers. Idea is a Go. 3. Upcoming Events – Volunteers Needed ● LexDoingGood October 22nd ● Bike Lights Giveaway October 17, 5:30-7:30pm 5. Fall Bike Rides Jim - Last Sunday was a success - 25 people. 6. Misc: Sunday Oct 16th between 9 - 3 pm there will be up to 150 runners/walkers on the bikeway for the Cancer Shakti Foundation 5K walk. Discovery Day - Success. Gave 80 Helmets. And sold vests. Bunch of Email-ids received - folks want to be connected. Adding them to the GoogleGroups Lexington Bicycle Advisory Committee – 7:15 pm 1. Approve September 15, 2022 Meeting Minutes Jim - Move to Approve. All approved. 2. Susan - Safe Routes to School discussion to focus on safe bike routes to LHS. 6 Es- Education, Engineering…lexbikewalk website - School by School Reduce Congestion. Kunal - Letter to Select Board/Town - Walking, Biking - wants to listen. Member of TAC - short term thoughts AND maybe propose a meeting to voice concerns. LBAC would like to help with Proposal. Betty will work with Kunal/TAC. LBAC agrees to endorse TAC’s letter. Matt explained the Worthen Road situation AND from the Bikepath to LHS. Arnav (LHS student) was sideswiped AND Kunal (past LHS student) was almost hit. Ross - 2 weeks in spring - Take one lane of Worthen for Biking - Pilot. Coned off. Mike C/Matt B - Get the school involved - Teachers and Staff Arnav A - Agrees with Worthen Pilot. Not sure Survey is helpful Ram R - Survey High School students - # Students getting hit. Jim C- Stakeholder petition - One for voting age and 1 for non-voting age Betty/Susan - Bike Month - May for the Pilot. Start planning this winter. And discuss it at next month’s meeting. 3. Bikeway Speed Advisory discussion of 15 mph. No agreement on whether we should have the signs or not. Many different opinions. Make it Advisory - 15 mph Yellow. Moved to Approve.1 Opposed. All others Approved. 4. High School and Middle School Bike Rack update (Betty) - Betty shared pictures. Susan/Betty/Sandhya - getting ARPA funds for Bike Racks in East Lexington. Do same for LHS and other schools. LHS has an Art GIS club - want to do Bike Racks location. 5. East Lexington Wayfinding Project update (Betty/Dave) - Sandhya (Town Economic Advisory) presented in the last meeting. Moving forward on 70% design - funding on 1 kiosk. We already have funding for 2 more kiosks (other locations). Dawson designs to be used for the other 2 kiosks. QR code to show maps. Center committee - wanted electronic signs. Dawson will do SOW for Electronic signs. 6. Bike/Ped Plan Update - Susan B - Consider the Biking to LHS in this. November RFP will be returned. 7. Liaison Reports - none.
