Minutes
December 13, 1979
The Lexington Historical Commission held its regular monthly
meeting in Room 111 of the Town Office Building at 7 : 30 P.M.
Members present were Anne Grady, Sara Chase, and Norma Bogen.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read from notes and
approved as read.
Membership renewals in the Bay State Historic League and in
the National Trust were approved.
Anne Grady reported that, while there was no new information
regarding the Boston University preservation planning course, she
has sent to Mary Miley and the Selectmen a letter which presents
examples of preservation planning in other towns in Massachusetts,
explains the process involved in setting up such plans, the need
for profess ' onal rather than volunteer services, and addresses
Selectmen B sa' s question about the legal force of such a document.
Meetin dates were set for the first half of 1980, as follows :
January 17 , February 14, March 13, April 17 , May 15 , and June 12.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
