HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-06-30-HC-min.pdf HISTORICAL COMMISSION MEETING Room G5 June 30,1975 Lexington Town Office Building 7:00 P.M. • Voting members present: Donna Brown, Anne Grady, Richard Morehouse Elizabeth Reinhardt, Thomas Taylor. • Public participants: None The meeting was brought to order with the introductions of the members. It was decided the committee could function at this time with a chairman and secretary. Elizabeth Reinhardt was elected ELECTIONS Chairman_. Taylor, Grady - Unanimous. Donna Brown was elected Secretary. Grady, Morehouse - Unanimous. The terms being one year. A general discussion of the duties and aims of the committee was held. It was felt that some funds will be needed to cover the costs of film and processing , stationary and postage, and minor FUNDS miscellaneous expenses. Thomas Taylor will meet with the Town Manager, Mr. O'Connell for the purpose of finding out what money may be available. • The first goal of the committee will be to complete an inventory of the properties in Lexington. First priority will be these in the Historic Districts. Work has already begun on this project by Eliz- abeth Reinhardt and Anne Grady with the help of volunteers. It was suggested that the names of the volunteers be included in the minutes of our next meeting. Procedures were discussed and it was decided to INVENTORY educate the public by an article in the Lexington Minute Man and we will also inform the Police Department as to our activities to alev- iate any distress from the homeowners. It was felt some form of identification would also be helpful. . It was agreed that our next meeting date be Monday, August 18, 1975 at 7:30 P.M. . The place to be announced.
