• 92% Lexington residents registered
• Best ways to contact residents: phone, email, text
• Two years ago attempt to reach out to registered voters between 18 and 30 by phone; no follow
up so do not know how effective it was
• Civic Education and Citizen Engagement important
• Example of a tool that could be used to get information on voters—Vote Builder; does the Town
Clerk have data on who voted in last elections and is it made public (Eileen will check)
Citizens Academy
• Need better communication
• What is content?
• Better information on town website about elections
• Role of elected officials
• Possibility of posting information about candidates on website
Civic Education
• Jeri reported on the Mass Curriculum Frameworks
• Materials from Lexington department heads
• High school juniors required to do project
