Minutes for January 16, 2008
Present: William Hays, Martha Wood, William Kennedy, Gerald Howell, & Patricia Nelson
T he minutes were approved as read.
The Treasurers report was approved.
Bolade Ugwuomo and Donald Travis from Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency
came to the meeting for a discussion on Garfield Street. Bill explained
that he and Narshall Derby had met with Agency 15 years ago and came to
an agreement to reduce paperwork. Bill will look for copy of agreement
and offered to buy out mortgage. NHFA does not want to let mortgage go
because "they want to keep units affordable." Bill explained, that was
our mission:
There was a discussion of our five year rule, which Board will keep in
effect. If someone is overincome, they will he given one year to find
housing. If child in school, the unit will go to market rate.
The next meeting will be held on February 13.
