Part D Plan Updates for 2009
Monday, October 27, 2008 at 1:30 p.m.
The annual Medicare fall open enrollment period
is from November 15 to December 31, 2008 for
an effective date of January 1, 2009. This is the
time for you to evaluate your situation and switch
Medicare plans if you choose. With so many Medi-
care plans out there and new ones for 2009, what's
the best way to learn about them and choose the
best plan for you? Now that Prescription Advan-
tage is open continuously, how can it help with
drug costs? What about this "extra help" people
are talking about?
Join us for a presentation by Lexington SHINE
counselors on the choices available to seniors and
if appropriate, how to go about making changes.
SHINE counselors will be available to answer
questions following the presentation. SHINE stands
for Serving the Health Information of Elders and
is funded and managed by the Executive Office
of Elder Affairs in coordination with Minuteman
Senior Services. Please register with the reception-
ist 781- 861 -0194.
