Messrs Steeves, Burnham, Shanahan, Emery and Spencer were present.
The Assessors at 7 P. M. looked at Harriet L. Childts property
located at #41 Lincoln Street and they voted to reduce the 1941
assessment from $6740 to 134850.
Mrs. Childfiled for a real estate abatement on her 1941 tax bill.
Lists of Motor Vehicle Excise Taxes abated were signed by the Board.
Warrant for Wat er Liens amounting to $82.47 was signed by the Board.
Unapportioned Water Assessment abatements amounting to $202.50 were
signed by the Board. Authority from the Selectmen to abate these water
assessments was received by:the Board.
Mr. William N.- Robbins, Trustee, having paid the balance of his
Apportioned Street Betterment on a certain lot was granted an interest
abatement' of $1. 94. The Committed ;interest was figured to Oct. 1st,
1941 and Mr. Robbins paid the balance of the betterment and` interest
on July 31st, 1941.
Mr. William N. Robbins, Trustee, having paid the balance due on one .
of his real estate lots was granted a committed interest abatement of
$4.48. The Cor .mitted Interest charge was figured to Oct. 1st, 1941
and placed on the 1941 Commitment" Book and Mr. Robbins paid the balance
due on this lot on July 1st, 1941.
The abatement slips on the 1941 Committed Interest Charges were signed
by the Board.
Gus and Theresa Parmeziani of 3 Daniels Street was billed for a 1941
Apportioned Street Betterment Assessment and a Committed Interest
Charge by error.
Amounts being for U63.00 and $18.96.
These two amounts should have been billed to a Caroline W. Parsons who
was billed for land only. The Abatement Slips were signed by the Board.
Francis C. & Cora M. Nelson of Sherburne Road was billed by error for a
1941 Apportioned Wer Assessment and Committed Interest Charge.
Amounts 84.05 and $1.74
These two amounts should have been billed to Charles W. & Robert L. Ryder,
Trs. Lexington Estates Trust. Board iigned the Abatement Slips and
the Nelsons- will be notified of the abatements granted.
It was found that a 1940 Committed Apportioned Water Assessment and
Committed Interest Charge was billed to Charles W. & Robert L. Ryder,Tr.s•
Lexington Estates Trust than` to RydersStock Farm, Inc.
Abatement slips for the sums of $5.00 and $2.10 were signed by the
Board at this meeting.
Mabel E. Adams of 22 Eliot Road was granted an abatement of $31.40
on her 1941 personal tax bill.
Mrs. Adams filed on her personal property as of Jan. 1st, 1940 but
the $1000 exemption allowed by law was not deducted from the total
valuat ion listed by her. ..
Department bills were approved and signed for payment.
