name of Poston Co-operativenk) was listed for hearing on Wednesday,;;;'
March 12, 1941.
The Board having viewed the property, a double house situatedright
next to a filling station and backed by the railroad tracks, voted at
this meeting to reduce the 1940 assessment from 36540 to 84500, that t4
being the fair cash value of the property according to Attorney Philip's
Hendrick, and being the figures filed on the real estate abatement
application filnd by him. :1
Mr. Hendrick was notified of the decision of the Board on the. matt
and he was requested to notify the Board td withdraw the case, . V
Abatement of $65.69 grantedon the 1940 real estate tax bill.
The Board having viewed the vacant land on Hunt Road and ,Slocunm
Road assessed to Anstiss S, Hunt et al voted at this meeting to assess
the various lots on the acreage basis, namely 775.0.00 per acre instead
of so much per lot. ;;
Anstiss S. Hunt et al filed real estate abatement applications on'
the 1940 real estate taxes received on the lots that were taxed separat
ly, so the Board at this meeting voted to grant them the following abat
ments.

Assessors had reduced the assessment on his property from $8480 to ;�I

RE- VALUATIONS ON. REAL ESTATE PARCELS FOR 1941
Calvin W. Childs 's garage property at" #389-409 Mass. Avenue was
viewed by the Assessors and they voted to reduce the 1940 assessment
from $35,700 to 327,400.
Mr. Childs was notified that the total assessment was reduced
-i8300.
Mr. Walter H. Lennon of Arlington was notified that the"Board did
not feel that his business property located at #121-125 Mass. Avenue
was over assessed and that they voted that no change be made on the
1940 assessment.
Mr. Edwin B. Worthen was notified by letter that the Board had
reduced the assessment on Manuel P. Moniz 's double house assessment
from $3000 to $2500.
Also that the assessment. onthel H. Barker's house. at #98 Bedford
Street had been reduced from 5000 to $4700. two and that was ,
Mr. Worthen wrote to the Board about these parcels
why he was notified of the decision of the Board in regard to the new
1941 assessments..
Mr. Robert A. Proctor of 92 Hancock Street was notified that the
Assessors had reduced his house assessment $300.
Mr. Kenneth P. Blake of 19 Oakland Street was notified that the
Assessors had reduced the assessment on his cottage $1000 and the
land assessment had been reduced $2000.
Mrs. Helen G. McCormack of Dorchester was . notified that, the Assessor
had reduced the assessment on her property located. at .#360 . Marrett Rd
from $7420 to $6790.
Mr. Michael J. McDonough of 1985 Mass. Avenue was notified that the
