Vitunic Mary de Alderete, Clerk MINUTES OF MEETING A meeting of the Board of Registrars was held on February 15, 2022 over the Zoom meeting platform, and called to order by Town Clerk, Mary de Alderete at 6:35 PM. Registrars Gordon Jones and Judith Moore were present. Election of Chair: MOTION. A motion to open the floor for nominations for Chair for the years 2022-2023 was made and seconded. Ms. Moore nominated Mr. Jones as Chair. There were no other nominations. Motion to elect Mr. Jones as Chair for 2022-2023 was approved by unanimous consent. Approval of Assistant Registrars and Signature Stamp Authorizations: MOTION: A motion to allow staff of the Town Clerk's Office be designated as Assistant Registrars: Dianne Sperber, Lisa Maguire, Kelley Cutone-Clair and Gina Carme was made and seconded. Motion to allow listed staff members to be listed as Assistant Registrars was approved by unanimous consent. Approval of Signature Stamp: MOTION: A motion to allow the use of the Board of Registrar signature stamp with the names of Gordon M. Jones III, Judy E. Moore, Mark R. Vitunic, Mary de Alderete and Dianne Sperber be approved for the purposes of certification of petitions, nominations, and attestations was made and seconded. Motion to allow Board of Registrars signatures stamp to be used as listed was approved by unanimous consent. 1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE•LEXINGTON,MASSACHUSETTS 02420 Discussion— Upcoming Elections The Town Clerk, gave a brief overview of the known election dates for the 2022 year, including the Monday, March 7, 2022 Annual Town Election; the Tuesday, September 6, 2022 State Primary; and the Tuesday, November 8, 2022 State Election. She noted that there were plans for Special Election to cover the debt exclusion of the Police Station expense once voted and approved at the Special Town Meeting, which begins on March 28, 2022. The Clerk explained that Early Voting would not be available for the Town Election, but would be permitted for the State Primary and Election. The Board discussed roles during election nights and an overview of how the process worked. The Clerk made a note for the file that meeting dates for the Board should be noted as far in advance as possible. Approval of Minutes: MOTION: A motion to approve the minutes from the Board of Registrars Meetings of July 23, 2021 was made and seconded. The motion was approved by unanimous consent.
