Chair Paul O'Shaughnessy called the May 05, 2022 Historic Districts Commission meeting to order at 5:05
pm.
FORMAL HEARING
Chair Paul O'Shaughnessy opened the formai hearing for 11 Waltham Street,exterior changes (Re-roofing)
in the Battle Green Historic District

The applicant explained the proposed changes of 11 Waltham Street.
The Board felt the proposed plans were appropriate. Dan Hisel recused himself for this application because he is
the tenant of this property.
No Public Comments.
Motion was granted and seconded to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior changes to 11
Waltham Street.Motion carried, all in favor.

The applicant and homeowner explained the proposed changes regarding re-roofing and solar panels of 1351

The applicants explained the updated proposed changes to 443 Massachusetts Avenue.
The Board felt the updated proposed plans were appropriate. Robert Adams was served as liaison with this
application to see if it is appropriate. Dan Hisel recused himself because he had missed an earlier meeting on 443
Mass Ave and had not reviewed the video of that meeting.
Linda Henning, Rachel Reed, and Barbara Elia as public attendees stated their opposition to proposed demolition
of 443 Massachusetts Avenue.
Paul O'Shaughnessy made a motion to approve the proposed demolition and construction pians of 443
Massachusetts Avenue. Robin Lovett Seconded. Roll Call Vote: Robin Lovett — Yes, Anne Eccles — Yes,
Edward Adelman — Yes, Robert Adams — Yes, Paul O'Shaughnessy —Yes, Mark Connor — No, Lee Noel
Chase—Abstain.Motion carried. The majority in favor.
Motion was granted and seconded to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior changes to 443
Massachusetts Avenue.Motion carried, all in favor.
INFORMAL HEARING
Chair Paul O'Shaughnessy opened the informal hearing for 14-16 Bedford Street, exterior changes
(Windows Replacement) in the Battle Green Historic District
