The followingpersons having filed applications for abatements on their 1939 real estate taxes;, and the Board having looked at the parcels, voted that no reductions be made on the 1939 assessment: . `i James ;A. Jackson - 10 Cherry Street Annie Bornstein - vacant land lot #79 Sylvia Street ** Mr. Spencer informed the Board that the Tax Collector had told him that there was an uncollected 1937 Water Lien on his books that he was unable to collect and that he would like to have removed from his books thru an abatement. The entire 1937 real estate tax was , abated sometime ago leaving the water lien. The Assessors voted to abate the Water Lien charge of $18.23. __Lien on property standing in name of Annie Sullivan et al. The Assessors examined the Statutory Exemption Application re- ceived from Henry E. Lowe of 12 Avon Street and they voted to abate his entire 1939 real estate tax bill of 042.60. Abatement granted under Clause 18,.. **w Form. 10 - Notice of Refusal to Abate Poll or Property Tax was sent to the above named five applicants, January 30, 1940. Two department bills amounting to $4.70 were approved and .; signed lay the Board. Mr. Cataldo told the Board that: he is not, receiving disability compensation from the government as yet, that his papers have been sent to Washington, D. C. for con sideration. The Board told Mr. Cataldo to obtain papers in regard to his rated disability or whatever papers he could obtain from the 1 Veterans Bureau so that they could consider his case. .
