• Welcome
• Discuss the following suggestions from Council Member Lance (sent to Principal
Corduck on March 21, 2022):
1. Create a behavior incident communication protocol at Bowman, in addition to implementing the
pre-existing district-wide bullying prevention policy. Under the proposed incident communication
protocol, classroom teachers shall have the freedom to contact parents, without prior clearance from the
principal. Parents shall have the freedom to meet classroom teachers, without prior clearance from the
principal. The proposed incident communication protocol will reduce the working load of the Bowman
principal.
2. Add community speak at the beginning and the end of each Bowman site council meeting(as in each
school committee meeting). Announce the site council meeting to the Bowman community in a separate
email each month. The proposed community speak will provide opportunities for parents/teachers to raise
concerns and provide feedback, for council members to check if the existing Bowman Innovation Plaza
and district-wide policies are indeed implemented correctly, and for the issues to be resolved locally and
expeditiously. The proposed change will reduce the working load of the central office.

3. Increase the frequency of parent satisfaction surveys in the co-taught classroom froze biannually to
monthly. Satisfaction surveys in September and March, as stated in the current Bowman Innovation Plan,
would be insufficient to prevent the crisis from happening in classroom 14.
