Will send Doodle poll. Suggested times: 8:00 AM; no weekends, evenings, Marian prefers Monday, Tuesdays, Fridays Also, should we continue to meet by Zoom or go to in person? Marian reported on her continuing literature review. She referenced a book, 100%Democracy The Case for Universal Voting by E. J. Dionne,Jr. and Miles Rapoport,which has a chapter on Australia compulsory voting. She suggested looking into whether various forms of government influence voter turnout, e.g. Town Meeting versus City Council and look at Framingham before and after going to Mayor/City Council in 2018. The effect of voting on voter education was discussed. Fernando Quezada suggested proposing a Citizens Academy a la carte program He further suggested that Civic Education may lead to Civic Culture. Jeri Zeder is in the process of obtaining the civics curriculum from the schools and will have more information at next meeting Eileen Zalisk has looked into obtaining information about household voting and made some headway.
