The Racial Disparities Subcommittee was created in 2021 at the September 09,
2021, Town of
Lexington Human Rights Committee monthly meeting.
The appointment shall be in effect for 2 years and expire on January 12, 2024.
The charge of the subcommittee is listed below:
To collect and examine data relating to race and ethnicity regarding the Town of
Lexington. The subcommittee shall report its findings to the larger Human Rights
Committee and/or the Select Board no less than once per year.
The subcommittee shall meet no less than twice o year with publicly posted
meetings in compliance with Public Meeting guidelines. The subcommittee shall
comprise of least two members of the Town of Lexington Human Rights Committee
who are appointed by the Chair of the Town of Lexington Human Rights Committee.
The subcommittee may, os needed,form working groups and collaborate with
Town entities. Additionally, the subcommittee may also comprise the Chief Equity
Officer pending appointment by the Town Manager.
