HELD AT THE TOWN OFFICE BUILDING, FRIDAY
EVENING, August 10, 1945
The meeting of the Appropriation Committee and the
V-J Day Committee (appointed by the Selectmen) was opened
in the Engineering Office at 8:00 P.M. , by Chairman Lewis L.
Hoyt. There were seven members in attendance - eight voting.
This was an emergency meeting to discuss V-3 Day.
A motion was mr:.de, seconded and voted to approve
the transfer of '1,000.00 from the Reserve Fund to the
Selectmen' s Department - Expense Account for use in con-
nection with V-J Day Celebration Activities.
There is a letter in the hands of the V-J Day
Committee from Mr. ?Waddell, Division of Accounts, authorizing
the expenditure of the above money for V-J Day.
