Harper Blaisdell Richard H. Battin Frank T. Parrish Jr. Donald P. Noyes Robert M. Gary Oscar R. Carlson Mrs. Richard W. Sousa Raymond IL. White, Sec. Ralph B. Fifield Jr. telephoned the secretary that he was going to be out of f own on Monday, Nay 25, 1964 on business so would not be present. Sorry. ,rM The Chairman stated that the School Building Committee were coming_,,be- fore us this evening. John Carroll Superintendent of Public Works was �om- ing in with Fire Department personell later this evening and that the Library is asking for the $6,922.75 for State Aid for Free Public Libraries which we received on April 10th 1964. Also the Fire Department is going to ask $180.00 for unpaid bills. Article 5. Construction of a sewer main in Worthen Rd. from Bedford Street to Mass Ave. - Cost 25,000.00. 6. Purchase of Lyon' s Property $56,000.00 7. Traffic Regulation and Control 8. Central Block 9. Establish of Conservation Fund. - $15,000. 00 10. Authorize the Conservation Committee tr contract. 11. Purchase or lease voting machines - $6,800.00 12. Standing School Building ommittee to retain professional services and prepare final plans Middleby Road - `$L�5,000. . 0 13. Standing School Luilding �ommittee to retain professional services and prepare final plans for Moreland Ave. - $15,000.00 14. Extend to a subsequent town meeting the time within which the Historic Districts Study Committee shall report. 15. Amend the Zoning by - Laws 16. Amend the Zoning by - Laws 17. Amend the Zoning by - Laws 18. Purchase, take by eminent domain etc. 19. Amend Zoning by - Laws 20. Policy - to establish a policy that the personal services budget of the fire department to ad- ministrated so as to eliminate disparity of salary between fire and police positions. 21. Authorize the Conservation ommimission to secure from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Soil "onservation Service a detailed soil survey and natural resourses inventory for the Town. 22. Water Main on Route 2. - $80,000.00 Totpl amount requested is $257, 18Q.00 The Capital Expenditures ommittee and Standing School uilding Committee entered our meeting to discuss the Two Schools contemplated. Q,, Moreland Ave. - School 10,000.00 for site work 10,000.00 for difference in plans 88,000.00 Architect - the amount already approved 25,000.00 Architect Fees 33,000.00. TOTAL Middleby Road school 6000 sq. ft. Normal classrooms - 27 pupils to room Two Special Classrooms for 8 to 10 pupils each. if construction funds are voted this year, then we wi11 get the 48% Asking 52,000.00 under Article 12. School committee left our meeting at 9.05 P. M. to discuss the various Public Works articles. Worthern Road sewer - 520,000.00. No laterals on Worthen Road now. William Madden, attorney and two members of the Fire Department entered our meeting in regards to salary adjustment. The 290.00 pay increase Would amount to 512,000.00. a year. Fireman "arshall was before the Fire Commissioners today but no decision was made as to adjustment in wages. Our meeting adjourned at 10:25 P. H. Respectfully submitted, Raymond L. White, Secretary
