The Appropriation Committee met on April 13th 1964 at 7:30 P. M.
in the office of the Town Accountant.
Present: Donald P. Noyes, Chairman
J. .Harper Blaisdell Oscar R. Carlson jr.
Richard H. Battin Frank T. Parrish
Logan Clarke Jr. Ralph B. Fifield, Jr.
Robert M. Gary Mrs. Richard W. Souza
Raymond L. White, Secretary
This meeting being our annual organization meeting. Oscar R.
c7-2Carlson was re-appointed for a three year term, and mrs. Richard W.
- Souza and Robert Mr. Gary are the other two members appointed.
The secretary was asked to send Robert H. Kingston a notice of
our meetings.
Member examining lis=t of appropriation balances noticed under
Town -- Clerk - Foreclosure & Redemption $8.00 Min, which means $8.00 over
drawn. The secretary stated that this account was closed out at the
end of year, and no appropriation was asked for and a bill was put through
when there was no fund. The Secretary asked about a transfer from the
Reserve Fund to this a ccountand they will approve a $50.00 or $100.00
fransfer if they receive a request from Jim Carroll.
Donald Noyes spoke about the election of officers for the ensuing
year and Oscar R. Carlson, nominated John Blaisdell, as chairman for
the ensuing year, which was seconded and voted.
Donald Noyes stated that he did not have a vice - chairman the
past year and thought we should have one. All members agreed and
rrank Parrish Jr. name was given and secretary instructed to cast one
ballot in favor of Frank T. parr i sh Jr. One ballot in favor of Frank
Parrish Jr; One ballot was then cast for the secretary, Raymond L. White.
It was suggested that later on in the spring this committee go over
some of the carry over items.
Conservation committee plan to ask for some money at the special
May Town meeting.
This committee should be thinking of the Evan' s Report .
In regards to onstruction money. If the Town Counsel rules if
the Town can get the moneyand not build for two years. The Town counsel
should check with the State to see if we can get the State Aid.
Next item is the May Town meeting. Find out what the articles
for the specialtown meeting are; such as Lyon' s property, number two
consideration.
