The Appropriation Committee met on Mgy 15 , 1961, at 8:00 P. M. in the
office of the Town Accountant.
Present: J. Harper Blaisdell, Chairman
Edward A. Palmer John R. Bevan
Logan Clarke, Jr. Frank E. Douglas
C. Roland Christensen Maurice F. Shaugnessy
Alffed Viano.
The new members are:

The first order of business was the election of officers: Nominated:
John Harper Blaisdell — Richard H. Battin, Chairman: Maurice F.
Shaugnessy, Vice—Chairman: Edward A. Palmer, Secretary.
The vote was: Mr. Blaisdell — 6, Mr. Battin — 2, Mr. Blaisdell was
elected. Mr. Shaughnessy — Elected Vice—Chairman, unanimously.
Mr. Palmer elected Secretary, unanimously.
There was a request from the Assessors for 51,300,00. It was voted not
to transfer from Reserve Fund, five against, two for, one abstention.
There was request from the Selectmen for $436.50. It was voted to
transfer from the Reserve Fund. Voted unanimously.
The meeting with the Standing School Building Committee on the 16th was
discussed along with our estimates of the possible costs of the
"Learning Center" schemes.
Tax rate: A letter was read for information.
It was recommended that the meeting be reported in the "Minute—man".
The Secretary will be the Public Relations Officer.
The Assessors will be notified that they may appear at the next meeting.
The next meeting willbe held June 5, 1961.
