A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the Accountants '
Office at 8:00 P. M. May 8, 1958;
Present were: Norman Richards
Paul Buckley Howard Patterson
Donald- Colony Maurice Shaughnessy
Edward A. Palmer J. Harper Blaisdell
Article #7 of Special Town Meeting Warrant was reopened for
discussion and it was voted to recommend favorable action
and was voted that 112,000 be appropriated and raised in the
current tax levy.
At 8:55 Mr. Fisher of the Standing Building Committee came in
to give figures on the New Junior high School.
At 9:40 Mr. Fisher left. Mr. Richards brought up the fact that
he was not now the Chairman. It was moved and voted that
Mr. Richards remain as Chairman until after adjournment of
the Special Town Meeting.
Favorable action was recommended for the New J,inior High School
and the appropriation of $2,080,000, with $2,050,000 to be
bonded for not more than twenty years and $30,000 be raised in
current tax levy.
The meeting adjourned at 10:10 and will meet prior to Town
Meeting May 12, 1958.
