A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the
Committee Room of Cary Memorial Hall on March 10, 1958
at 8:00 P. M.
CJ Present were: William Madden Chairman
A. Edward Rowse Munroe Hamilton
Edgar C . Bailey Donald Colony
Edward A. Palmer
Norman Richards Kenneth Blodgett
Paul Buckley Wilfred L. Dwyer
At 8:00 the School Budget was discussed and it ' s effect on
the tax rate. With the Junior High renovations it is estimated
that the School increase will give a $7.00 increase in the
tax rate for 1958.
The Committee adjourned at 9:00 to attend statuatory meeting
with Selectmen, Chairman of the School Committee, Chairman
of the Assessors, Chairman of the Cemetery Commissioners.
The articles in the warrant were reviewed and figures were
received on the new fire engine, ambulance, estimate of cost
of Group Insurance, and alterations on the Barnes property.
The Committee then adjourned to the Accountant ' s office to
discuss revisions and corrections in Town Report. It was
voted not to reconsider F. B. I Academy recommendation.
The next meeting will be March 13th.
