A.meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the
Committee Room of Cary Memorial Hall on March 3, 1958
at 8:00 P. M.
Present were : William Madden Chairman
Norman J. Richards A. Edward Rowse
Kenneth F. Blodgett Wilfred L. Dwyer
Donald Colony Edward A. Palmer
At 8:00 there was a general discussion about a letter from
the Standing Building Committee.
at 9:45 the School and Building Committees came . The School
Committee labored mightily and have reduced the Personal
Service budget by X1,000. It was voted to contact the
Selectmen re : Postage requirements for 1958 in light of
the proposed new Postage Meter.
The renovation of the Junior High School was discussed re :
pupils costs, space etc . Estimated cost X570,000. including
funds allotted.
The problem of the Superintendents Department was discussed
fully.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:25. The next meeting will be
March 10, 1958.
