A Meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held on February 27,
1956 at 8:00 P. M. , in the Committee Room of Cary Memorial Hall,
with the following members present :
Donald Clark, Chairman
William Madden Edgar Bailey
Kenneth Blodgett Wilfred Dwyer
Edward A. Palmer, Secy.
The Tax Rate was discusses at length.
It was voted to approve the Road Machinery Appropriation less
the H D-11 and the Snow Removal request for one plow and one
sander.
It was voted unanimously to a.)Urove the Major Capital Expenditures
Town Office Building Bond $215,000.00, Transfer $11,000.00 Real
• Estate Fund, $55,000.00 Tax Levy.
Franklin School Addition Bond $470,000.00 and 45,000.00 Tax Levy.
Cary Library Addition Bond $295,000.00, Transfer $35,000.00 E &
D, and $62,000.00 in Tax Levy.
It was voted unanimously to eliminate Trunk Line from Sewer Approp-
riation and Bond $53,000.00 and raise $50,000.00 in Tax Levy. —t
Water Construction 6-16" Bond $110;000.00, Transfer $58,800.00 from
available surplus and assessment funds.
Street Construction Bond $100,000.00, Transfer $70,000.00 from
E & D.
Further work was done on the Committee Report and tree Meeting ad-
o jurned at 11 :40 P. M.
The next Meeting will be hely March 12, 1956.
