A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held June
15, 1955 at 7:30 in the Selectmen' s Office at the Town
Office Building with the Board of Selectmen and the
Planning Board.
Present were :
Donald Clark, Chairman
Edgar Bailey William Madden
Wilfred Dwyer John Work
Edward Palmer, Sec.
Mr. Bateman discussed articles 2 and 3 of the Warrant ex-
plaining that betterments would apply to the sidewalk con-
struction. Estimated cost, $13,000 from E. & D.
The Worthen Road Proposal was discussed re: drainage costs,
extent of drainage, land costs, etc. - $130,800; suggested
that road be financed from E. & D. and bonding.
The Planning Board discussed parking lot, costs, etc .
At 10:55 the Committee met alone in the Selectmen' s Office
and voted as follows :
1. Art. 6: The Committee recommends that unfavorable
action be taken on this article.
2. Art. 4: The Committee does not recommend that
favorable action be taken.
11:55 - Meeting Adjourned. No time was sot for the next
meeting.
