A meeting o::' the Appropriation Committee was held on January
24, 1955 in the Conference Room, Cary Memorial Building, with
the following members present:
Gardner Ferguson, Chairman
Thomas Donnelly, Jr. James MacDonald
William Madden John Biggs
Robert Cave Donald Clark
Leslie Read Frank D. Walker, Sec .
Austin Fisher
Mr. Fifield was at our meeting at the start and explained
• T'' his mission relative to the sidewalk on Adams Street::: He
left at 7:55.
Library Trustees came in at 0800. Frederick Gay, Mildred
Marek, Father Casey, Reverend Handley and Ralph Nason.
They explained the reasons for the necessity for the in-
creases which we had not voted and the need for an execu-
phone costing $377.00. Left 8:50.
Cemetery Commissioners came in and explained their expense
budget, salaries, etc. Left 9:20.
Mr. Burns, Superintendent of Public Works, came into the
meeting at 9:20 and explained the items where there were
any questions and left at 10:40.
Next meeting Wednesday evening at 7:30 (5 will attend) .
Meeting will be held on Saturday A. M. at 9:00 o 'clock
which will include a joint meeting with Board of
Selectmen.
