A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the
Conference room of the Cary Memorial Building, January 10, 1955
with the following members present :
Gardner Ferguson - Chairman
Leslie Read John 9iggs
James V. MacDonald Donald Clark
Thomas Donnelly Jr. William Madden
Robert Cave Frank D. Walker, Sec.
( Bud reported absent)
A letter was read from Harold Stevens relative to the trans-
portation of pupils.

Discussed Selectmen's actions on police and fire departments.
At 0800 Chief Rycroft came into our meeting and discussed his
budgets. Left at 8 :40.
The Board of Fire Engineers came into our meeting immediately
and discussed their budgets. Left at 9 :20.
The Planning Board, Chairman Alan Adams, came into our meeting
at 9 :20 and discussed their budgets. Left at 10:4.0.
We then went over the Police, Fire and Planning Board budgets
deciding what we were going to recommend.
Meeting adjourned at 11 :35.
Next week School Committee at 7:45, Selectmen at 9:00 P.M.
Next week, Wednesday, Jan. 19, 1955, meeting of Association at
Hotel Commander, Cambridge. Please advise how many will attend.
