A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the
Conference Room in Cary Memorial Building at 7 :30 P. M. on Janu-
ary 4,

ary , 1954. , with the following members in attendance:
Gardner C. Ferguson, Vice-Chairman
Leslie C . Read Thomas J . Donnelly, Jr.,
Donald T. Clark Robert R. Cave,
William Madden John M . Biggs
Frank D. Walker, Secretary
The meeting was called to order at 7:L0 P. M .
The minutes of the meeting held on December 21, 1953 were
accepted.
Received budgets from the Selectmen at 7 :25 P . M.
It was voted to send a letter to the Selectmen with reference
to an article in the Warrant .
Discussion of the Fire Dept . budget followed, conducted by
Tom Donnelly, Jr. Also discussion of the School Dept . budget fol-
lowed, conducted by Les Read.
The following is a tentative schedule for meetings to follow:
January 11 8:00 Fire Department
9 :00 Health "
9 :30 Dental Clinic
9 :45 Police Department
( note) School Dept. will be in on January 18th
January 18 - 8:00 School Dept.
9 :30 Veterans '
10 :00 Planning Board
January 25 8 :00 Welfare Dept.
8:30 Veterans '
9 :00 Public Works
Feburary 1 8:00 Cemetery Dept.
8 :45 Public Works
February 8 8x30 Public Works
February 15 make final decisions
February 22 write final draft of report
Meeting adjourned at 10 :20 P. M.
Next meeting will be held Monday evening, January 11, 195 - at
7:30 in Conference Room, Cary Memorial Building.
