James, Chairman Leslie C. Read Gardner C. Fergusof Thomas J. Donnelly Jr. Robert R. Cave Donald T. Clark William Madden Austin W. Fisher Frank D. Walker, Secretary The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. Election of officers for th-e year 1953 - 1954 was held and the following are the results : Raymond W. James, Chairman Gardner C. Ferguson, Vice - Chairman Frank D. Walker, Secretary The following sub-committees were appointed: School ) Leslie C. Read, Chairman Library) gobert R. Cave Donald P. Clark Fire ) Thomas J. Donnelly, Jr. , Chairman Police ) Gardner C. Ferguson Public Works) Austin W. Fisher Welfare ) Veterans Services) William Madden • Cemeteries ) Insurance Robert -R. Cave Recreation) Park ) Gardner C. Ferguson Capital Expenditures Austin W. Fisher Mechanization of Donald T. Clark, Chairman Billing System William Madden Incinerator Comm.- Thomas J. Donnelly, Jr., Two letters from the Board of Selectmen were read requesting transfers. Mr. Reed, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen was con- tacted and indicated that he and the Supt. of Public Works would attend our meeting. --,' _ '7 Letter from Town Counsel, Harold Stevens, read informing us that the Lexington authority to borrow for Schools was ex- tended for two years and that if any additional borrowing was necessary it could come under the provisions of the General Acts of the Commonwealth. Mr. Reed and Mr. Burns came into the meeting at 9 :35 to ex- plain the necessity for the increase in the appropriation for the construction of the connecting sewer with the Town of Bedford. Let at 9 :50 . It was voted to transfer the sum of X236.01 from the Reserve Fund to the Printing of Tpwn Reports account. °--� Mr. James, having left the meeting, Mr. Ferguson took over. It was voted to transfer the sum of ;8,000 from the Reserve Fund to the Bedford Sewer Construction Connection account. It was voted to adjourn at 10 :05.
