A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the
office of the Town Accountant on Monday evening, January 19th
with the following members in attendance:
Leon W. Bateman, Chairman
Raymond W. James Ralph H. Tucker
A. W. Cleveland Gardner C. Ferguson
James V. Macdonald William Mar .den
Frank D. Walke r, Secretary
The minutes of the meeting held January 12th were presented
and approved.
It was reported that "Les" Read is incapacitated and we hope
to see him soon.
The Planning Board came in at 7:4+5 and discussed the proposal
for the new layout for connecting streets with an estimated total
cost of around 2 million dollars . It is anticipated that the State
& County will participate in most of the proposed new streets .

Budgets reviewed and some recommendations approved.
Enclosed is the recapitulation I have made with my re-
commended transfers with the resulting tax rate .
Meeting adjourned at 10:50 P. M.
Next regular meeting Monday evening, January 26th, at 7: 30 P.M.
