APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE HELD ON
May 19, 1952
A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the
office of the Town Accountant Monday evening, May 19, 1952
with the following members in attendance:
Leon W. Bateman, Chairman
Ralph H. Tucker Raymond W. James
A. W. Cleveland John J . Sullivan
Leslie E. Read Thomas J. Donnelly, Jr.
Gardner C. Ferguson James V. MacDonald
Ethel U. Rich, Secretary
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Chairman
Leon W. Bateman.
A welcome was extended to our two new members, James V.
MacDonald and Gardner C. Ferguson who were appointed to replace
Howard A. Patterson and Clarence E. Smith who presented their
resignations.
The following members were nominated and elected to serve
for the year 1952-1953:
Leon W. Bateman - Chairman
Raymond W. James - Co-Chairman
Frank D. Walker - Secretary
Ethel U. Rich - Acting Secretary
It was votedto transfer 124.20 from the Reserve Fund to
Veterans ' Services, Personal Services .
The Articles appearing on the Special Town Meeting called
for Monday evening, May 26th, were reviewed and recommendations
were made on same.
The next meeting will be held Monday evening, May 26th in
the Accountant's 0f'fice at 7:30 prior to adjournment to attend
the Special Town Meeting in Cary Hall.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 P. M.
