Dear Mr. Bateman:
Mrs . Morey has requested me to answer your letter
of December 31, 1951 relative to the use of the
amplifier at the playground during the summer months.
The Loud speaker system which we recently installed
in the Junior High School is a permanent one and we
do not see how it would be applicable for the use
you have in mind.
Sincerely yours,
TSG:k Thom. S. Grindle /s "

Mr. Leon W. Bateman, Chairman
Appropriation Committee
Lexington 73, Massachusetts
Dear Mr. Bateman:
A recent meeting of Boards of Health of Middle-
sex County was held at the Middlesex Sanatorium
to discuss the new Act relative to the care and
treatment of tuberculosis. The concensus of
opinion was that this law should be repealed and
action was started to have this done.
If this action is successful it will mean that
the Board of Health will be called upon to pay
the cost of tuberculosis care. These costs were
deleted from the Board of Health budget for 1952
because the new law provided for this payment
by the County Tuberculosis Tax.
We will be glad to discuss this problem with you.
Yours very truly,
William L. Cosgrove /s
