APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE HELD ON
March 12, 1951
A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the
office of the Town Accountant Monday evening, March 12, 1951,
with the following members in attendance:
Howard A. Patterson, Chairman
William M. Hall Clarence Smith
Raymond tiu. James John J . Sullivan
Leon W. Bateman Thomas J . Donnelly, Jr.
A. W. Cleveland Ralph H. Tucker
Frank D. Walker, Consultant
The minutes of the meeting held on February 26, 1951 were
presented and approved.
A joint meeting was held with the Board of Selectmen and
members of the Assessors, School Committee and Cemetery
Commissions present.
Following the joint meeting the Appropriation Committee
voted amendments to the following Articles appearing in the
Annual Annropriation Report:
To read
Art. 4 Page 14-Item 35 Sewer Services $33,000 .00
" 15- " 38 Garbage 12,500.00
" 15- " 41 Highway Plaint. W & E 70,000.00
" 16- " 45 Street Lights 31,800.00
Art. 17 To appropriate 84,500 and transfer 83,000 from E.
and D. , this sum to be reimbursed to E. & D. when
received from State & County.
Art. 18 To appropriate 824,000 and transfer 516,000 from
E. & D. , this sum to be reimbursed to E. & D. when
received from State & County.
Art. 42 To appropriate 815,500. $15,000 to be transferred
from E. & D. 8500 from Elementary School Sites
Committee Account.
Art. 50 Recommend Indefinite Postponement.
Meeting adjourned at 11:15 P. M.

March 19, 1951 at 7:30 P. M. previous to Town Meeting in Cary
Hall at 8 P. M.
